ARCADIA, Calif. (Sept. 17, 2008)—The Oak Tree Racing Association will card a record total of six Grade I Breeders’ Cup prep stakes on Saturday, Sept. 27. All six are Breeders’ Cup Challenge races and are part of the “Win and You’re In” Breeders’ Cup incentive program.

The Goodwood Stakes, Yellow Ribbon Stakes, Oak Leaf Stakes, Clement Hirsch Turf Championship, Lady’s Secret Stakes and the Ancient Title Stakes will offer horsemen nearly $2 million in purses on the biggest Breeders’ Cup prep day in racing history.

“We believe this will be the greatest advance showcase in the 25-year history of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships,” said Oak Tree Director and Executive Vice President Sherwood Chillingworth. “We are obviously expecting some of the best racing of the year and we fully expect that by running six consecutive grade one races, our ProRide synthetic main track will become synonymous with world-class racing and the Breeders’ Cup at Oak Tree. This day will be one to remember as history-making.”

Oak Tree will card a total of 11 races and will offer a $1 million guaranteed pool in the Pick Six. First post time is 12:30 p.m.

In addition to an unprecedented menu of world-class racing, the first 25,000 fans in attendance will receive an all-new, freshly designed Oak Tree polo shirt, free with paid admission. The shirt is a premium polo, with breathable fabric designed for maximum comfort in the California sun. The color is Oak Tree green and the shirt comes in medium, large, extra large and double extra large.

Fans will also receive a bounceback coupon redeemable for free admission on Sunday, Oct. 5, which is also California Cup Day at Oak Tree.

Breeders’ Cup XXV will be held at Oak Tree on Oct. 24 and 25.

The 26-day Oak Tree meeting will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 24, with first post time set for 1 p.m.
