Just heard on the radio from a guy at Del Mar; Alex Solis (scheduled to ride After Market in the Arlington Million) was seen at the track around 6:45 this morning. If he were headed to Arlington, i'm sure he would've already left...

Also of note: They had the communications director from Arlington on the show, and he said that the course still had a lot of water on it. They were able to cut the grass yesterday, and it's very sunny (with a little wind) today, so they're hoping it'll dry out some. He then said that MAYBE, if it dries out enough, the course will be upgraded to "good" later in the day. He said if they ran the races right now, it would likely be listed as "soft". He said they wanted to cut the grass on Thursday, but the heavy machinery "would've sunk". This of course is why After Market will apparently be scratched. And it says a lot that Shirreffs would scratch the 2/1 ml favorite for the Million (a race he's been pointing to for some time) after his horse had already shipped halfway across the country to run. You can bet that the turf course is still in pretty bad shape...
