Saratoga Monday - Race 2 analysis

No play here (at least not until i see some odds), but there are a couple of horses in here who caught my eye:
Saratoga Summer was part of a 3-horse team drill (from the gate) on July 28 with Celestial Comet and Elle Society. Celestial Comet appeared on Aug 3 in a 2yo turf route, and ran a close fourth (beaten two lengths). Although he ran fourth, the time of the race was considerably faster (approximately 8 lengths faster) than the other 2yo turf route on the card. I made a note to watch for this horse (i assumed he'd be entered in a turf route as well), and sure enough he was entered in a turf route a few days later. Strangely though, he was listed as main-track-only. He didn't run, but his stablemate Zee Zee got hammered down to 8/5 and won anyway. Now, Saratoga Summer gets entered on turf anyway (?), and it's also a sprint. Seems strange. His most recent drill matches Ski Alexis Ski (not a stablemate), a 3yo colt who ran on Sunday and was running third for a half-mile behind the impressive allowance winner Posted. Desormeaux takes the call here, and he's been on most of Mott's live ones (meaning pretty much every horse starts these days).
The other one who caught my eye here is the Kimmel horse Gulchstream (part of an entry). Going back to Sunday's 2yo race, i was surprised that Gomez jumped off Cozy Mesa to ride the Kimmel horse Wish Me Success. Especially since Kimmel was 2-for-42 with firsters. That being said, he was 1-for-2 with Gomez. And sure enough, Wish Me Success scored @ 12/1. So the first thing i noticed about Gulchstream here is that Gomez (now 2-for-3 with Kimmel) takes the call. I compared his worktab to Wish Me Success, and yes, they've been keeping company. I count six workouts on the same day/distance, but only two of them heads-up (May 21 and May 6). Most recently, they seem to have worked from the gate together on July 29, with Wish Me Success being 1/5 faster. In their most recent drill, they worked on the same day/distance, but Gulchstream was 4/5 faster (meaning they probably didn't work together). Wish Me Success broke slowly today, and was trailing the field for most of the way before unleashing a powerful late rally to win going away. I'm not sure how that relates to Gulchstream, because Wish Me Success may not have any speed to speak of, and Gulchstream will likely need to show some speed to win here. But it's still very noteworthy that they've been working together, and the trainer/jockey combination is big.

Saratoga - Race 2
#5 Saratoga Summer (3/1 ml)
In addition to what i wrote above, Saratoga Summer worked heads-up four consecutive times with Vivacious Vivian, who ran second by a neck in a 5 1/2-furlong turf-sprint on July 30 for this same owner/trainer/jockey combo. That race is displayed prominently in the pp's here, as the only two horsres who have run are coming out of that race.
Saratoga Summer went off @ 7/2, although he was only beaten a neck, he got nosed for second as well. No place bet, no exacta. Unreal.
Horse should do well moving back to turf sprint.
Good Luck
Thanks
