This horse returned from a several-months layoff for low-percentage trainer Mike Marlow and ran huge with the addition of blinkers, stalking a solid pace from inside and then moving thru and opening up a wide margin into the lane. Blinkers might've made the big difference, but note this horse had also run a big race off the layoff this same time last year, and followed it up with an even better race second time back. If he repeats that pattern today, he'll be awfully tough.
