5th Ellis Park---#3 DEVIL DOWN 20/1
Phil Sims, an 18% win trainer, has this DEVIL HIS DUE gelding in what looks to me the right race to cash a bet. Lukas has a STORM CAT out of an ALYDAR mare that must be crippled or something wrong to be running at this track with a horse of this caliber????. and Flint ,who's horse that's been 3/1 or lower the last three races at MNR and can't win, will probably be the 2 horses that will be bet. Sims is 1 of 5 {25%}at Ellis, He is 3 of 12 {25%} in Turf Sprints, he's 4 of 18 {22%} first off a layoff,and 3 of 12 {25%} in MSW and 2nd lasix. Devil His Due's are average in most stats around 14%, but PIRATES BOUNTY, the Damsire was a heck of Turf Sprinter. Phil Simms is like Glenn Wismer, when he wins, he likes to Cash a Ticket that will pay something, as you can tell by his ROI's. I'll try this one Grass or Dirt.

9TH ARLINGTON PARK---#10 IRISH SONG 10/1
I usually don't play state bred races. But what got my attention was the fact that the last 2 wins from this horse came when he went from 8.5 furlongs to 8. Trainers are creatures of habit and Stidham is doing this again with the horse. Most trainers have to bet to keep their barns afloat and even if they don't they still like to bet. Looks like this could be the situation here especially if the horse is bet early. J. Campbell is 3 of 9 riding for Stidham who is 12 of 62 {19%} 2nd race off a layoff. Horses are winning at a 11% clip coming out of the 10 hole in mile races on the grass at Arlington.
