Churchill Downs shocker: 50 cent Pick Four
posted from thoroughbredblog.com
I thought this day would never come... The bets are even available on
Oaks and Derby. Two good ideas in a month, up must be the new down. More later when I have time to update.
Update: The great idea I noted in the brief post above is the plan Churchill has to try-out three night racing dates this spring meet (no I wasn't talking about LeAnn Rimes singing the National Anthem on Derby Day).
I've been hoping for a Pick Four at this price for some time now -- I have been an ardent supporter of the bet at other tracks, since it makes a regular ticket so affordable. Although now instead of taking a chance at a track that is less familiar to me (like Lone Star) or that offers an odd mix of talent and races (Ellis Park) I can participate in a regular manner in a track where I feel really comfortable... now if they'll just lower that takeout from 19 percent...
