Oaks/Derby Weather Outlook. As of this morning, there's a 40% chance of rain next Thursday, 30% on Oaks Day and 20% on Derby Day. There's a chance of showers Thursday and Friday. Highs are forecast in the low 70's each day, with overnight lows in the mid 50's.
General Quarters Breezes. Today at Churchill Downs, Grade I Toyota Blue Grass Stakes winner General Quarters breezed five furlongs in 1:01.80 (13/30) on a fast track before the renovation break. Exercise rider Julie Sheets was in the saddle. The fastest moves belonged to Tweeter, a 3-year-old filly, and Silver Light, a 5-year-old horse, each of whom breezed in :59.80.
