Question re: Gomez/Pioneer O'Nile

I believe the following to be a key Derby question this year.

Which of the 2 scenarios do YOU believe to be closer to the truth:

(a) Garrett Gomez and his agent, Ron Anderson, truly believe that Pioneer stands a better chance of winning on Saturday than Dunkirk.

OR

(b) Owner Zayat, who has made ultimatums to people within the racing industry before,
informed Anderson and GG, that they can forget about riding for him in future,
should they opt for Dunkirk.

Now, I have no reason to believe that (b) is necessarily the case, but it's an interesting possibility.

Any thoughts out there?

Dunkirk being the better choice for the Derby, I'll say (b). PON is more accomplished but Dunkirk is the better choice for the win with and expected improvment. If I were G.G. I'd do the same I wouldn't be thinking just DErby win, I'd be thinking livlyhood ( 10% of money earned and future mounts with top client ).
