If you were looking at the breeding angle, i'm surprised you didn't like #6. She's a daughter of Madcap Escapade.

Cat....i Looked At The 6 But I Felt More Than 5 Furlongs Would Suit Her..the Sires Average Winning Distance Was 7.7 Furlongs..... She Was A B Rated In My Books....

Speaking of foals of former star fillies, Hofmans had a 3yo gelding from the outstanding Top Rung entered in Race 8, showing some pretty good works btw. And the sire is none other than Smarty Jones.

Unfortunately, he was scratched, but could be one to keep an eye on (next week or whenever).

I don't know, but that is pretty strange. It wouldn't be a tatto issue on the latter horse however, because those are checked before the race, not afterward. Also highly unlikely that any discovered "wrong horse" would enter another race just a few days after the first attempt.

Didn't mean to hit a nerve Gambler. I like the books also but I don't know how much stock you can put into them. If I see a horse out of Extra Heat By Montbrook That horse should be named " Pure Speed".
