2009 MLB Regular Season Home Run Title
#5007 Mark Teixeira (8/1)
Tex has shown tremendous power since getting over his early season wrist problem, and of course balls are flying out of the new Yankee Stadium at a ridiculous rate, particularly to right field (with the switch-hitting Tex batting as a lefty in the majority of his plate appearances). He hit #19 last night, placing him just 3 behind the leader Adrian Gonzalez, who is a great hitter but has very little chance of hanging on due to the Petco factor. If Tex can stay healthy, I think he rates a big chance here due to the ballpark effect. In fact, the only guy i'd rank in front of him at this point would be Howard, and not by much. Worth a shot @ 8/1, I think.
