Long-absent Koriner trainee ran an excellent race over this course last month while coming off a 15-month layoff, making the lead around the turn and opening up in the lane before tiring a bit late. Still was only beaten a length at the wire, and the winner of that race (Sovine) has returned to win again. Should be better-prepared conditioning-wise tonight, and also figures to sit a nice trip sitting to the outside of some fast fractions, very similar to her last race. A repeat would make her tough, and any improvement would make her double-tough. Good chance here.

    Agreed. She hopped at the break to be off slowly and wound up running dead-last early. Made good progress up the rail approaching the turn and briefly challenged for the lead in upper stretch, but was in pretty tight along the rail and might've gotten discouraged because she pretty much stopped running at that point. She probably wasn't going to beat Dotsy Jean tonight anyway, but had no chance with the trouble.
