Freddie Head has confirmed that his dual Breeders' Cup heroine Goldikova will stay in training next year.

Owned by the Wertheimer brothers, the brilliant filly overcame a terrible draw to win the Breeders' Cup Mile for the second successive year earlier in the month.

A winner of 10 of her 15 starts, the four-year-old will be trained next year with the aim of securing a third win at America's big meeting.

"It is brilliant news, Goldikova stays in training next year. I'm delighted," said Head.

"She came back from America in very good form and she is very well in herself and could not be better.

"I know the Wertheimers would love to go back to America for the Breeders' Cup again so that will be the aim, a third win.

"We haven't made a decision yet what the rest of her programme will be.

"I think this year's performance was every bit as good. The time was faster than the previous year and she had the draw to overcome so I think it was a very good performance."
