INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Dec. 11, 2009) Shes Funomenal, impressive winner of her career debut here in mid-November, will aim for her second straight victory in Sundays $50,000 Ifyoucouldseemenow Stakes at Hollywood Park.
The 2-year-old daughter of Fusaichi Pegasus drew off to win her only start by 51/2 lengths. Owned by STD Racing Stable and Summit Racing, the bay filly will face four rivals in the 6 ½-furlong Ifyoucouldseemenow, which lines up as follows from the rail out:
Shes Funomenal, with Joel Rosario up, will carry 118 pounds; Haggai, Jose Valdivia Jr., 116; Excellent News, Rafael Bejarano, 118; Feeling Fancy, Martin Garcia, 118, and Seriously, Victor Espinoza, 118.
Haggai and Feeling Fancy also take 1-0 records into the race. The former broke her maiden for a claiming tag of $100,000 at Santa Anita Park in October, while the latter was a 5 ¼-length winner in her career bow at Emerald Downs in June.
Excellent News broke her maiden in her third start at Santa Anita in October, while Seriously scored her first win in her fourth start in September at Fairplex Park. In a subsequent start, she finished fifth in a one-mile allowance race at Santa Anita.
The Ifyoucouldseemenow will run as the third race on Sundays nine-race program at Hollywood Park. First post time is 12:30 p.m.
