Only select two horses, let's get some response to this thread. I have picked the Derby and Preakenss so far and now going for the sweep.

    Drosselmeyer
    First Dude

There seems to be no pace of any kind listed for this race and that will be the angle I'll likely approach when gambling. While Fly Down and Ice Box are likely the two most accomplished, they're both gonna be running from the back of the pack in to what I feel will be a very soft pace. First Dude may be on the lead himself and Drosselmeyer will be in a good striking range, perhaps his grinding run style may work here. Drosselmeyer doesn't have a solid turn of foot, one horse I can think of with a similar running style was Tale of Ekati.

I think you always have to look at a horse that has run on the track, and I think alan garcia is always worth a look in a big race, which I think can get a nice price winner.

I just dont think Stay Put will have enough pace to run at. I hate to play Mott in these big races cause he reminds me so much of Shug McGaughey. The types of trainers that have great high-end allowance horses but when it comes to 2 and 3 yo's they dont seem as good esp in triple crown races. Honestly I dont see this race any more than a high end allowance race. I think Drosselmeyer breaks around 4th or 5th and stays close than around the far turn takes the lead and runs away with it!

I'm with you wiretowire, Ice Box - Stately Victor. First Dude should be out there setting the pace and feel that Pletcher will instruct for Interactif to stay with him.

Dont mean to bump this to the top but Ive been on Vacation since Saturday. I went and put the wager in on this horse Friday. No exactas tri's Supers Nothing. Just a nice win ticket. I drove down to Virg Beach on saturday from RI and was lucky enough to get a rental van with Sat. radio and could listen to the races before on the radio. Arrived at the hotel about 30 minutes before the post threw it on the TV and was going crazy! Nice way to start a Vacation!
