Not sure where you are DC but the New York Post usually puts out a nice 2 page betting tutorial for the Saratoga meet the Sunday before opening day. I will post it here that Sunday

I like the Trainer/Jockey list...some pertinent info there. I did really well with the Chad Brown/Castellano combo last year, not that i was betting them blind or anything. Castellano was definitely being used on his live ones though...

Pay attention to the part where it says 2 year olds. Some of the trainers give out a few of there 2 year olds that they are high on. Not sure if it was Violette or Kimmel last year who named a few but one of them paid over $30 as a fist time starter. Also one of them won as a first time starter the first week Belmont opened after saratoga had closed.

Just had the 10-length winner of Race 2 (Fire On Ice), a Kimmel firster who was mentioned in this article back before the meet started. Still on the lookout for that Street Sense colt...

I thought we're just flat betting $100 to win on IRAD?

    50-1 he crushed with today.

I haven't blind-bet a human being since back in the old days with Richard Matlow first-time starters. I just don't have it in me to do something like that. Congrats to all who hit it big on Irad, though...

Lol, but you're probably not stuck 20k this year.

I bet Rosario blind in the last every day (Used to be Flores). Wesley Ward 2yo's (that's been costing me forever). And Irad Ortiz lately, who has been an absolute gem.

I'm not ready to bet Hector Berrios blind yet, but watch how patient he is. Close to being too much, but his horses are flying late.

I just checked on the John Kimmel colt, the one who (according to the NY Post article) is "as nice a 2yo as he's been around in a long time".

The horse's name is Sense of Peace, and unfortunately, judging by his worktab, it appears something may have happened to him recently:

    Sense of Peace

    08/25/2011 SAR 4F :51.06 Dirt training Fast B

    07/28/2011 SAR 4F :49.01 Dirt Fast B
    07/18/2011 BEL 3F :36.06 Dirt Fast H
