Delta Jackpot

this race does not mean what it did in years gone bye. With CD going to a point system as oposed to $$$ earned, big time hot shot outfits will choose to pass this race and concentrate on a three year old campaign, where the points count toward a stall for the first Saturday in May. However, connections who need the money will be there in force trying to get $600k in winner's purse money!

This is a tricky track which has a heavy sand base. Horses shipping in who have not experienced this surface have faired poorly. (especially ones from SoCal who have been running on SA hard pan)

Right now, I favor Kelly Breen's Bern Identity and the Calder shipper from Eddie Plesa barn. Bern has been there working and the Calder strip is similar to the one in Vinton.

what are you all hearing or thinking?

John-I'm on Itsmyluckday in this race run around the bull ring configuration. We can safely assume the winner will be a non-player, in my eyes, on the Derby Trail.

Calder types have fared decent in this race. WP bet for me! Best of luck!

I watched bern identity's last race and we looked like he was tiring late but with that track and im not sure if that was his first time going long but he will be in the lead for a while..7-2 from the rail..

I'm on Sittin at the Bar in the Princess and Goldencents in the Jackpot.
The longest shot in one and the flash in the other.

you get 10pts...same as the breeders cup juvenile....Im going to have to look at the system and see how it works...est. 40 pts will get you in and I think bern identity was the best horse but unlucky...
