When does 3 - 1 pay less?

Actually @ Belmont in today's first race, Smooth Bert paid 7.40 after going off at 3 - 1 odds.:angry:

    Dropped to 5/2 mid race, I know as I had him as well. Thats not even close to the worst I've seen. At monmouth a year or two ago I watched my horse getting ready to be loaded at 7/2 only to win the race at 2/1.

    Cause my horse the 2nd place finisher was suppose to win!!!

    It's college kids and drunks getting paid $8 an hour out here. They're not good at updating.... and as far as I know some TV graphics are not connected to the tote system.
