These KDFW morning lines are just as bad as ever. They list over a third of the field @ 20/1 or lower (ridiculous just by itself), then turn around and suggest that the horses NOT on the list are a prohibitive choice to win (which they are, frankly). They can't have it both ways.

Bad enough for this to happen once, but this has been going on for how long now? Three times a year for the past 15 years? I can't believe no one in the horseracing media ever seems to call them on it. The best we ever get is an occasional mention that it would be nice to have wagering on hundreds of different options, rather than just 23 and a field entry. To which Churchill makes up some bullshit about "software limitations". If sportsbooks in Vegas can offer betting on hundreds of different football/basketball games, then Churchill can offer wagering on hundreds of different horses.

Btw, this bullshit affects the Vegas lines as well. Places offering Derby futures who might have a horse listed @ 100/1 or higher will see his name @ 20/1 or 30/1 or 50/1 in this ridiculous Kentucky Derby Future Wager, then drop him down to a corresponding price (or at least slash the fuck out of him), as if it represents what the odds "should" be. Same thing pretty much for that stupid "Derby Watch" column that comes out in the Racing Form every Friday during the Spring, where they list the current favorite at 6/1 or some such bullshit months before the race (with "longshots" in the 25/1 range). Like the fucking race was tomorrow or something.

I didn't know at the time the current odds. But just read he is 2nd choice at 14-1. So I basically keep my money in my pocket. But he did look like a freak in the Churchill alw race..

A heads up on him as well. Bob wanted to send him CH to see if he would take to the surface and he sure did. I know the BUZZ is on AP, but Bob behind the scenes is goo-goo over this colt. This was by designed to send him over the CH strip early and it looked as he took to it like a duct to water.
