I figured there had to be a thread where people could post what their Kentucky Derby bet is going to be. I have mine pretty much figured out just going over the PP's and race replays one last time to make sure I didn't miss anything ....

    Ok here is my bet .,.

    AP/Dortmund exacta $120 straight

    AP/Upstart exacta $60 straight

    AP/International Star exacta $60 straight

    AP/Far Right exacta $60 straight

    Yeah Far Right should go off at big odds and even though he is obviously no match for AP , still if you looked up the words " clunk up" in the dictionary there would be a picture of Far Right. He has Golden Soul and Commanding Curve written all over him . Not to at least put a few dollars on a AP/Far Right exacta would be handicapping malpractice :)

    Is AP hands down the top overall horse to wager on i was at the medowlands tonight and a bunch of us were talking and everyone seems to pick AP to win, but a few guys were high on carpe diem

    In my opinion AP is hands down the best horse. The rest are running for second :)

    My Derby Day bet this before your money is gone SA late P4. I might even add a few more, I'll post the final ticket.

    Last year i had it all figured out , then last minute i noticed everyone jumping on the danza bandwagon so i did too , ...had 5/4/20 trifecta...came 5/17/4/20....

    Thats a tough beat. I think Commanding Curve ruined a lot of tickets last year ....

    Going Carpe Diem W/P/S here.
    If one of the 2 favorites beat me so be it. Good value outside the top 2 favorites for a horse that's done nothing wrong. Not sure about exotics I never seem to have much luck outside of exactas. Had lovely maria yesterday with the 8/12 underneath.


    For exotics (if I do one) Im feeling 2,8,18/ 2,3,8,12,18,19
    Possibly throw the 6 in there. Tough one this year.

    My top four selections in today's HorseGrades sheet are Mubtaahij, Danzig Moon, Frosted, and Firing Lane. I'm definitely betting a trifecta. Here is how I am structuring it ($1 amounts to $40 ticket)

    Mubtahiij and Frosted with
    Mub, Frosted, Danzig Moon, Firing Lane, Dortmund, Upstart with
    Mub, Frosted, Danzig Moon, Firing Lane, Dortmund, Upstart

    I'm also using my top four in the verticals. Good luck today!!

    So my 3yo just sat on my lap and matter-of-factly said "Today is "Kentucky Dirty" day" . . . we looked over the horses and he told me he wants #2. So, guess I'll put a wager in for him - Carpe Diem to win . . .

    Wss gonna play ap pretty hard...20$ tri and put 5 $ base but im gonna spread it now...5 20 $ tris with ap , dortmund , firing line, frosted and carpe diem on top...
