    DC, I know you are also a huge fan of Mr Gruff, you hear any reason as to why he was scratched out of today's stakes?

    Regarding Mr. Gruff, it's merely a guess but i'd say the course condition may have something to do with it. Could be a little soft with all the rain they've gotten. Looked like it was coming down pretty good yesterday; i know the training track was muddy.

    Just checked the Santa Anita website. All races are off the turf today.
