I heard a couple good Baffert tidbits today...

The Mor Spirit earplugs thing is bullshit, he's lazy and Gary got tired. Period. Baffert royally pissed.

Also, Baffert having serious American pharoah withdrawals. Subpar horses, not much left in the garage for the year end races, and considering sending all his decent 3yo (maybe even spirit) out of town for points. He really wants to be back.

I heard he's got 5 horses with a derby shot.

    From my original post.
    I love Awesome Banner.
Awesome Banner over Mohaymen and Zulu, exacted and triples.
At the price that we may get I maybe putting down a Win Bet.

I'm a little concerned with what i've seen on video (from Awesome Banner). I'm hoping he's just lazy.

Looks like Mor Spirit may have worked with under-the-radar Derby prospect Cupid this morning (:59 4/5). Interesting.

I think Baffert may have something in the European turf import Moonlight Drive (who is Triple Crown nominated, btw).

I think he'll likely be entered in a Derby prep next month; perhaps even the San Felipe if Mor Spirit pulls out. Maybe even the San Felipe regardless. I was thinking perhaps the Sunland Derby, but the equine herpes thing going on there makes that prety dicey, i think.

The other option would seem to be the Rebel. One of those three races, i would think. We shall see...

Still no post-race workout activity from Moonlight Drive (making it 17 days now). I'm starting to wonder what's going on there. :scare:

Harrington says he hasn't been on the track since race.

Cupid worked 7 furlongs for Baffert this morning. Always a good sign from that barn.

Wouldn't shock me if he's entered alongside Mor Sprit in the San Felipe. If not, then maybe the Rebel?

I looked around for that quote (thought maybe you saw it on Harrington's Twitter page), but i can't find anything? Where did you see it Dirty? Or did you hear it directly?

I asked him. Maybe he DM'd me on Twitter.

Hoffenheim "the other Baffert who keeps running second"

My horsey finally got it done. Closed into a huge sped favoring surface as well. Bad race though, IMO

Beat me to it. I was just saw that, hopefully we get 12 to 1, but if he's well meant, he'll get action.

    12/1 ml. Good call!

I figured he'd be 4th or 5th choice, but i'm still surprised that an impressive Baffert maiden winner got listed that high.

Btw, Denman's Call (who beat Cupid in Cupid's previous race) is entered Friday. Already came back to run a solid third (behind Nyquist) in the San Vicente.

    TampaBay Derby tomorrow....
I'll be giving Awesome Banner another shot at the distance and good odds.
Brody's Cause was my favorite last year for the Derby and he's making his 3yr old campaign in this one.
Destin ran a big race here last out.
Boxing the 3 for exactas and triples.......

Good Luck and May The Horse Be With You.....

Cupid was one, guess the horses here are too good, he'll ship.

Mor spirit? Still looks ok to me... Seems like he'll keep running forever.

Louisiana Derby this Saturday, I'll be going with Mo Tom who came closing and was impeded in the stretch, Hard... He still was able to reb it up and with more distance he would've won.

Next is Greenpointcrusader who had been layed off since Nov. and on his 1st race back he runs against the Monster Mohaman. It was an excellent comeback race.

My 3rd choice will be Forevamo, who also closed in The Risen Star with Mo Tom.

Boxing Mo Tom and Greenpointcrusader in a 10.00 Exactas and 5.00 with Forevamo behind them.

Laoban is far and away the best looking horse in the crop, shame his trainer is a retard. He could be something...

Well if you figure he hates the slop... He's a good 10 or 12-1 in the Derby now.

I would love to see the updated Derby points..

Did Gary Sherlock get in? Paddy Gallgher did.

Yeah, Gary just came on and said he knew it was over in the first turn, thought he would never hit board, says horse ran 60%, thrilled to be second.

Denman down the hill at anything over 2-1 is money in the bank.

Once all this bullshit is over, Denman will get a break.... But when they come back to the hillside... I'm betting with both hands.
