    Mor spirit, Laoban.

Am I stubborn? I still like Mor Spirit. I think Hoffenheim is a grindy type with a shot, and I like Whitmore a little.

If you liked him before the SA Derby, i think you still have to like him afterwards.

As for Whitmore, i have zero doubt that he's one of the best 3yo's out there. I also think he has the best acceleration of any horse in the Derby. The one thing i'm a little concerned about is the distance (although he is bred for it).

I should probably also add that i think Whitmore may end up be the biggest value in the race. He figures to be a very big price (30/1 or thereabouts?), and i think he has a much better chance of winning the race than that.

Btw, check out the replay of the Arkansas Derby (Whitmore is #8, video below). He got squeezed pretty bad and clipped heels not long after leaving the gate. Definitely cost him some position, probably more than the amount he lost by. And the horse fires every time, no matter what (he also had a rough trip in the Southwest). If he can work out a good trip in the Derby, he's liable to be right there at the wire. He can definitely win the race with a big step forward. Personally, i'd like to see him a little closer early than he has been recently, but i guess a lot will depend on the Derby pace, which of course can be way too fast at times (another reason to like him, perhaps). I definitely feel that Whitmore will be overlooked, and he shouldn't be.

Well guys it has come down to 3 horses, for me, to take the roses.
Nyquist, without a doubt, is the horse to beat. He'll be attempting to do what the Great Seattle Slew did and the
only horse in history to win the Triple Crown as an undefeated 3year-old.
Brody's Cause is still my 2nd horse for The Derby. My Man Sam made a nice move in The Bluegrass. I'll be putting him in my Exotics.
And moving into the 3rd spot is a new shooter this just keeps on improving. That's Creator. I loved him in the Arkansas and I really like his chance for THE Derby.

I think he is gonna be the favorite and seeing how the last 2 years the favorites have won I'm betting against, still don't know with who but definitely have my eyes on exaggerator , mor spirit, creator ,whitmore...gonna be a big payout this year , I feel it.

I can't highlight from my cell, but I agree with you on the "big payout" in two weeks. I'm capping for a nice overlay. Not sure which middle-of-the-road horse I'll land on but I'm doing my homework.

I completely disagree...nyquist is on top hands down and all other Cali 3yo are behind..east coasters are garbage. Gunrunner may be ok but if mo Tom ever gets a rider who's head is not in his ass then he might show all of his ability..

Don't forget about Mohaymen, guys (even though everyone else seemingly has). I think he just didn't like the wet track in the Florida Derby.

Not necessarily saying i like him. I've always thought he was a little overrated. But now he's being underrated.

Boxing my Top 2, for 1st and 2nd spots. That's Nyquist and Creator. I'll be putting the other strong closers for the 3rd and 4th spots. Which are My Man Sam, Mo Tom, the maiden Trojan Nation and Brody's Cause.
    Oh nearly left out Destin.
Will also be using Destin and Brody's Cause in the 2nd spots.

This is real shit right here. I'm still doing my thing with Mor Spirit, I'm feeling 12-1.

I think Trojan Nation and the horse that beat him are both naggish.

I said G2 nag before, I'll say it after. Let this head case powder puff beat me in a 20 horse field.

Still think the best value in the race will be Whitmore. He figures to run well @ 30/1 or so.

The Whitmore, Laoban, Mor Spirit, Gun Runner, Mo Tom, exaggerator if raining box?

This one's driving me crazy leading up to the Derby - one day I love him, the next I'm tossing him. No idea what to think about that Florida Derby and if it's a toss . . .

PS. I was looking at the extended forecast last night and it read 78/Sunny for Derby Day - though rain for the following day.

I don't think Lani should be overlooked and believe he'll hit the board. That last race in Meydan looked like crap and I think many will discount him because of it. The race prior (5th) was on the slop, so his last two races don't seem in his favor; but this guy can close.

See I thought Polar River was better, and that's a nag,

Lani might run, might sulk. Probably run, but not fast enough.

Lol, you're right about which temperament shows up. Might decide to run, but backwards!

I saw Lani's race in Dubai, and i nearly threw up. Yuck. Not sure how anyone can like the horse (particularly considering that he's not been training well over the surface).

Best thing i can say about him is that he's a grinder, and those horses have won before. I just don't see it on talent though.

did anybody else see Lani's work yesterday. dont remember the last time i saw a horse work that bad before a derby. looked like a 2 year old that was being broken for the first time. never ever changed leads, had to feel the whip multiple times. i can't get on board the lani train at all

He's the biggest piece of shit grifter. Was involved in MLM shit, then energy drinks (I think), then strippers (probably the driver who stays in the car while they get fucked, then he had some other hustle... Tout seems a good place to end up.
